1. Overview
Harvest Atlas Ltd. ("Harvest Atlas," "we," "us," or "our") operates a B2B SaaS platform for the global wine supply chain. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with harvestatlas.com and our platform.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide: When you register, complete your profile, or submit an LOI, we collect contact details (name, email, company, phone), business information (entity type, license numbers, state registrations), and content you upload (product catalogs, label artwork, winemaker bios).
Information collected automatically: We collect standard usage data including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and session duration through analytics tools. We use this data to improve the platform and diagnose issues.
Payment information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Harvest Atlas does not store full credit card numbers or banking details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve the Service; to match wineries with importers and distributors based on your profile and preferences; to send compliance deadline alerts and platform notifications; to process subscription payments; and to communicate with you about your account, product updates, and relevant industry information.
4. Information Shared with Other Users
Harvest Atlas is a multi-sided platform. Certain profile information — such as winery catalog details, regional focus, and general importer preferences — is visible to other verified platform participants as part of the core matching and discovery functionality. You control what is included in your public profile. Sensitive business information such as license numbers, pricing, and allocation data is visible only to authorized counterparties you connect with on the platform.
5. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services including Stripe (payment processing), SendGrid (email), and cloud infrastructure providers. These providers access only the data necessary to perform their functions and are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. Data Security
Harvest Atlas is built toward SOC 2 Type I security standards. We implement role-based access controls, encrypted data transmission (TLS), and secure file storage. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to notify us immediately of any suspected breach.
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request deletion of that information, and opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact us at hannah@harvestatlas.com.
8. International Users
Harvest Atlas serves users in multiple countries, including winery partners in South Africa, Spain, Italy, and Argentina. By using the Service, international users consent to the transfer and processing of their information in the United States.
9. Data Retention
We retain account and business information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter, as required by applicable law or legitimate business purposes.
10. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to maintain session state and analytics cookies to understand site usage. You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
